A few golf clubs - you don’t need a full set. Beginners can start with:
1 driver or 3-wood
1–2 irons (e.g., 7-iron + pitching wedge)
1 putter
Most courses also offer club hire, so you can even show up without clubs.
Golf balls - bring 6–12 balls. Beginners lose a few — totally normal.
Tees - a small handful (10–20) is more than enough.
Glove - helps grip the club and prevents blisters.
Ball marker - A coin works fine. Used to mark your ball on the green.
Comfortable clothing - most courses allow:
Polo shirt or neat top
Shorts, skirts, or skorts
Sneakers or golf shoes
Avoid denim at some private clubs (public courses are relaxed).Water bottle
Sunscreen & hat
Towel

If you’ve been standing on the edge of the course thinking:
“What if I’m too slow?”
“What if I look stupid?”
“What if I annoy the people I’m paired with?”
“What if I never actually get better?”
You are not alone.
I hear these four fears every single week.
And here’s the truth no one says out loud:
Most golfers aren’t nearly as good as you think they are.
You do not have to shoot under 100 to play on a golf course. Most players don’t.
Perfection has never been the entry requirement. Participation is.

80% of the fun in golf comes from knowing just 20% of what actually matters.
By the end of this program, you will:
Tee off without panicking
Get the ball airborne 8 out of 10 times
Finish 9 holes in under 2 hours
Have other women ask, “Where did you learn to play?”Because golf isn’t about perfection.
It’s about momentum.

Let’s talk about the voice.
The one that says:
“Everyone is watching me shank this.”Here’s the flip:
Good players are thinking about their own swing — not yours.
And if they’re not? That says more about them than it does about you.
So here’s your on course mantra:
“I belong here. I paid my green fee. This tee box is mine for the next 40 seconds.”
Print it.
Put it in your bag.
Say it before every drive. -
You Belong Here
You don’t need permission.
You don’t need perfection.
You just need to start
